This bhajan depicts deep connection between God and His devotee. The devotee promises to be surrendered to God forever. Without God, he finds his life meaningless. If he needs anything, he never knocks at anyone’s door but prays intensely to God because he finds the strongest and the only support in Him.
The best example of a devotee are the Braj Gopis who spent their days and nights remembering God. The devotee prays to God that “Oh God! please say once that I am yours and you are mine, please come and make me your own forever”.
